Thai Lion Air takes delivery of it's first A330-300

Thai Lion Air has taken delivery of it's first widebody, a Rolls-Royce powered Airbus A330-300. The aircraft had been allocated by the Lion Air Group to subsidiary Batik Air Malaysia, before being reassigned to Thai Lion. Two additional A330s are scheduled to be delivered before the end of the year. The aircraft will initially be used on local route-proving flights before being moved to longer haul services to North Asia (details tba). The airline also expects to take delivery of five or more 737 MAX 8s in 2018.
