Qatar Airways Cargo takes delivery of first 747-8F

Qatar Airways' cargo division has taken delivery of it's first Boeing 747-8F (MSN 63199) adding to it's existing freighter fleet comprising A330-200Fs and 777Fs. At the same time, an order for two 747-8Fs was announced (with this delivery believed to be one the two), plus four additional 777-300ERs for Qatar Airways.

Atlas Air acquires first 747-400ERF

Atlas Air (US) acquired it's first Boeing 747-400ERF, leased from Altavair Finance (US). The aircraft (msn 33515) is the first of two ex Korean Air 747-4B5ERF the airline will lease.

Atlas Air's current fleet includes 31 747 freighters, including ten 747-8Fs and 20 747-400Fs. Four passenger 747-400s are also operated (mostly on military charters), along with 31 767-200F/300F freighters, nine of which are now dedicated to Amazon Prime Air operations, a growing segment of it's business.

Royal Jordanian leases first A300-200F

Royal Jordanian has leased it's first Airbus A300-200F freighter, which joins a sole A310-300F in it's dedicated cargo division. The Pratt & Whitney powered aircraft (MSN 1164) was previously operated by Malaysia Airlines since delivery new in January 2012. Royal Jordanian previously operated three passenger A330-200s until 2016, when they were replaced with Boeing 787-8s.

As of August 16th 2017, the aircraft arrived at Mojave, CA (in full Royal Jordanian colors), possibly for storage, and with some question about whether this lease will proceed.
